Sri Lanka Won 1st T20I match in Christchurch, New Zealand

The Sri Lanka Women’s team won the (Women’s 1st T20I) first Twenty20 International match by chasing 102 runs in 84 balls at their own ground, Hagley Oval Stadium in Christchurch, New Zealand, on the night of Friday, March 14, 2025. The (Women’s 2nd T20I) second Twenty20 International match took place on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at 2.45 am, between Sri Lanka and New Zealand at same ground, Hagley Oval Stadium in Christchurch, New Zealand. Malki Madara, a right-arm medium bowler, took three wickets by losing 14 runs in 23 balls. Malki Madara, age 24, was named the Player of the match. During the match, Chamari Athapaththu is not out and scores the highest 64 runs, which includes two sixes and nine fours. He does this off of 48 balls.

Harshitha Samarawickrama scores two runs in seven balls, Kavisha Dilahari scores twelve runs in ten balls, Nilakshika Silva scores twelve runs in nine balls, and Vishmi Gunaratne scores seven runs in eleven balls.
